Prostate cancer stem cells
The research group aims to identify prostate cancer stem cells, the small fraction of cells that accummulate the mutations and give rise to the cancer. If the prostate cancer stem cells can be targeted and killed, prostate cancer potentially could be cured. The group is currently aiming to identify targets on the cells surface of dividing prostate cells that can be exploited for cytotoxic therapy.
