David Ralph


Mr David Ralph qualified from St Bartholomews Hospital, London, and trained initially in London and later as a Senior Registrar in Yorkshire. He was appointed in 1996 and has built up the largest Andrology unit in Europe. Half of his time is involved in research and teaching and the rest in clinical medicine. His hobbies include golf, sking and horses with any spare time devoted to fine wines and ballet.



Specialty : Areas of interest:
Genital reconstruction – Peyronie’s Disease, penile trauma, penile cancer
Erectile dysfunction - All treatments are given including penile prostheses, management of priapism and ejaculatory disorders
Male infertility - Mangagement of the infertile male to include microsurgical reconstruction, vasectomy reversal and sperm retrieval
Phallus construction - Phalloplasty for micropenis, following amputation, and transgender
Research : Clinical research projects currently in all areas of Andrology. Also lab-based basic science research on Peyronie’s Disease and Priapism
