Hands-On Flexible Ureterenoscopy and Laser Course

| Description : | This course is aimed at senior trainees and consultants wishing to gain further exposure in flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy. In addition to live surgery demonstration there will be ample hands-on flexible ureterorensocopy and laser lithotripsy in vitro urinary tract models under close faculty instruction. After attending this course candidate will be able to describe the possible complications associated with flexible ureteroscopy and laser lithotripsy and learn how to avoid and treat them, cite the indications for a ureteroscopic approach to renal stones and access the upper urinary tract with minimal trauma and utilise techniques to maximize visibility and integrate the techniques of stone capture, relocation and fragmentation using holmium laser into clinical practice. This is a BAUS approved course and 6 CME credits have been applied for. |
